The role focuses on community operations for Reddit and forum platforms. The core responsibilities include enhancing brand visibility and user trust through community engagement, localized content creation, and public sentiment management. This position also serves as a bridge between the community and internal product teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Reddit and Forum Daily Operations:
- Manage the official Subreddit and accounts on crypto forums like Bitcointalk and Quora.
- Engage actively in major crypto communities (e.g., r/CryptoCurrency, r/Bitcoin, r/ethereum) to boost organic brand exposure through valuable discussions.
- Plan and execute native Reddit campaigns, such as AMAs with executives/project teams, trading competitions, and educational events.
- Monitor brand mentions on Reddit in real-time, track community sentiment, and address negative feedback professionally and empathetically.
- Content Creation and "Reddit-Friendly" Communication:
- Translate complex financial products (e.g., Futures, Staking, Launchpad, API) into easy-to-understand, Reddit-friendly formats like TL;DR summaries and in-depth posts.
- Leverage industry trends, memes, and breaking news to create viral-worthy content aligned with the exchange's offerings.
- Cross-Team Collaboration:
- Establish efficient response mechanisms to escalate product bugs, user requests, and customer service issues collected from Reddit to internal teams.
- Coordinate with Social Team members (Twitter/X, Telegram, Discord) to ensure consistency in global marketing campaigns.
- Data Tracking and Review:
- Analyze key Reddit metrics (Karma, engagement rates, traffic conversion, sentiment shifts) and refine strategies via weekly/monthly reports.
Job Requirements
- Experience: 1–3 years in crypto/Web3 community operations, with 1+ year specifically managing Reddit.
- Reddit Expertise: Deep understanding of Reddit’s algorithm, Karma system, Subreddit rules, and culture. Knows what content gets upvoted/downvoted or risks bans.
- Crypto Knowledge: Proficient in trading basics (spot, derivatives, DeFi, Web3), including distinctions like APR vs. APY and Layer 1 vs. Layer 2.
- Language Skills: Fluent English with excellent writing ability; adept at using internet slang and humor.
- Resilience: Stays calm under pressure, handles criticism empathetically, and communicates effectively during crises.
