Job Description
Industry Background:
The fields of on-chain transactions, centralized exchanges (CEX), and crypto payments are highly competitive, with rapid iterations in product and business innovation. Competitors' moves in product experience and business models can reshape the market landscape within weeks. To help the product and R&D teams stay ahead of industry innovations and support decision-making, we are establishing a dedicated Industry and Product Researcher role. This position will continuously conduct competitive benchmarking and experience audits, translating external innovations into actionable product insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor core competitors in CEX, Web3, and Pay business lines, tracking their product updates, business model adjustments, and user experience changes. Build and maintain a dynamic competitor database.
- Conduct hands-on product audits and experience testing of competitors, covering key workflows. Capture innovations in business models, product features, and interaction experiences (e.g., payment method innovations, on-chain interaction optimizations) from a real-user perspective.
- Deeply analyze identified innovations, assessing their user value and applicability based on regional and user group differences. Convert findings into actionable product optimization recommendations for relevant teams.
- Monitor competitor and industry trends in major global markets, covering multi-region and multi-language product experience differences to deliver internationally informed benchmarking analyses.
- Produce monthly/quarterly industry and competitor analysis reports for each business line to guide R&D decisions.
- Combine industry reports with on-chain data to form trend judgments for the sector, helping the team build a macro-level industry perspective.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a product manager, industry researcher, competitive analyst, or related roles.
- Deep familiarity with the cryptocurrency industry as an active user of on-chain trading/crypto products. Knowledge of leading products across major crypto sectors and high sensitivity to industry/competitor movements.
- Strong product sense to distinguish genuine innovations and their user value beyond feature listings.
- User-centric mindset to evaluate product experiences from real-user perspectives, identifying pain points in key workflows.
- Global perspective to understand regional user habits, compliance environments, and product differences for cross-market benchmarking.
- Excellent structured thinking and reporting skills—delivering insights with conclusions and recommendations, not just screenshots.
- Proficient English reading/writing to efficiently process international competitor information.
- Effective cross-team communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in crypto exchanges, wallets, Web3, or fintech products.
- Experience researching/operating globalized or overseas products across multiple markets.
- Hands-on experience building competitive intelligence systems or competitor databases from scratch.
Benefits
