Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and continuously improve internal risk control and AML supporting systems and workflows.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and AML compliance reviews for new products and business models, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards.
- Monitor and analyze transactional data to detect anomalies related to money laundering, fraud, and other illicit activities.
- Utilize advanced analytical tools to trace the flow of funds, identify suspicious patterns, and clarify criminal methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine risk identification strategies and reduce systemic risk concentrations.
- Participate in the evaluation and optimization of AML monitoring models, including system updates and requirement validation.
- Maintain and enhance existing risk control systems, ensuring they meet evolving regulatory and operational needs.
- Document and communicate findings to stakeholders, supporting decision-making and risk mitigation efforts.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices to ensure continuous improvement of AML frameworks.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of user behavior, transactional patterns, and identity attributes to enhance risk detection capabilities.
Job Requirements
- Master's degree or higher in finance, risk management, data science, or related fields with a focus on compliance and regulatory frameworks.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk control, AML, or financial compliance, preferably in a fintech or financial services environment.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Python, SQL, Tableau) and risk modeling software to support complex data processing tasks.
- Strong understanding of international AML regulations (e.g., FATF, OECD) and domestic requirements (e.g., China's Anti-Money Laundering Law).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address emerging risks in financial operations.
- Ability to develop and deploy risk scoring models, transaction monitoring systems, and compliance checklists.
- Experience with regulatory reporting frameworks and data governance practices to ensure compliance with legal standards.
- Proficient in English and Chinese for communication with global teams and local regulatory authorities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques for predictive risk analysis and fraud detection.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting to present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate with legal, compliance, and IT teams to implement risk control measures effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks based on risk severity.
- Proficiency in regulatory compliance frameworks and risk assessment methodologies.
- Experience with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, China's Personal Information Protection Law) to ensure ethical data handling.
