Job Description
As a Project Manager specializing in centralized exchange (CEX) platforms, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful execution of complex technical projects. Your responsibilities span across business understanding, project governance, risk mitigation, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Understanding & Strategic Planning: Deeply comprehend CEX core business logic including trading engines, asset settlement, wallet systems, KYC/AML processes, and risk control strategies. Define project scope and implementation paths aligned with business objectives.
- End-to-End Project Management: Develop clear project plans, milestones, resource allocation, and delivery standards. Oversee progress across R&D, testing, and deployment phases while coordinating internal teams (product, frontend, backend, risk, compliance, operations) and external vendors.
- Risk Management & Contingency Planning: Proactively identify technical, compliance, security, and resource risks. Establish early warning mechanisms for critical paths to prevent major delivery failures or service disruptions.
- Cross-Functional Communication: Serve as the central hub for information synchronization across departments. Provide transparent executive updates covering project status, key achievements, blockers, and required support.
- User-Centric Delivery: Incorporate market feedback and user behavior data to optimize trading flows, asset operations, and onboarding experiences. Champion user-focused delivery standards beyond pure technical implementation.
- Issue Resolution & Process Improvement: Track system testing, canary releases, and operational issues through resolution. Conduct post-mortems to institutionalize best practices and enhance team efficiency.
Job Requirements
- Technical background (ex-developer, QA, or systems engineer) with solid understanding of blockchain fundamentals and Web3 ecosystems
- Hands-on experience in building Web3 trading platforms from scratch or leading major version overhauls
- 3+ years project management experience in fintech/internet sectors, specifically with CEX or high-frequency trading systems
- Comprehensive knowledge of CEX architecture (matching engines, settlement, wallets, risk control, KYC/AML) enabling technical dialogue with engineering teams
- Proficiency in Agile/Scrum/Waterfall methodologies and tools like Jira/Confluence/Notion
- Exceptional risk awareness, logical thinking, and execution drive to maintain delivery commitments
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills with ability to simplify complex technical concepts
- Business-level English proficiency for global team collaboration
