Job Description
The Digital Copywriter is responsible for crafting user-centric content for web and mobile applications. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the information flow and terminology align with user needs and business goals. Key tasks include developing content strategies that support product development, from initial concept stages to final production. The position also requires maintaining a consistent brand voice across all digital touchpoints while adapting to different product contexts and user scenarios. Additionally, the Digital Copywriter will play a vital role in enhancing user experience through clear, concise, and engaging copy that drives user engagement and conversion. This includes conducting user research to identify content gaps and opportunities for improvement, as well as leveraging data analytics to optimize messaging effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product designers and information architects to create intuitive information flow and terminology for complex workflows, ensuring alignment with user needs and business objectives.
- Develop and maintain cohesive cross-product content experiences, including contributing to brand voice and tone style guidelines that reflect the company's identity and values.
- Identify research opportunities to evaluate, optimize, and stimulate user interface content, while also using data-driven insights and intuitive judgment to determine effective messaging strategies when research is not feasible.
- Review and refine existing product copy to continuously improve user communication, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with brand standards.
- Support a systematic approach to all product copy by establishing standardized processes for content creation, review, and iteration across platforms and user interfaces.
- Work collaboratively with UI/UX designers, UX researchers, product managers, and engineers to enhance the overall quality and usability of Wish products through integrated content solutions.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a digital copywriter or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centric content creation for web and mobile applications.
- Excellent command of English, with the ability to write clear, concise, and engaging copy that resonates with diverse user audiences.
- Strong understanding of user experience principles and the ability to translate complex product functionality into accessible language for end-users.
- Proficiency in conducting user research, including usability testing, surveys, and interviews, to gather insights that inform content strategy and optimization.
- Ability to analyze data from user behavior, A/B testing, and analytics tools to refine messaging effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
- Collaborative mindset with experience working in cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and engineering, to deliver cohesive digital experiences.
- Knowledge of content management systems and tools for organizing, versioning, and deploying product copy across multiple platforms.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining consistency in tone, terminology, and brand messaging across all digital assets.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to present content strategies to stakeholders and advocate for user needs during product development cycles.
