Job Description
The Data Analyst / BI Analyst will be responsible for conducting in-depth data analysis across various business domains including transactions, assets, users, and advertising/growth. This role requires the ability to break down core metrics based on business objectives and provide actionable insights and optimization recommendations. The analyst will independently handle SQL data extraction, verification, ad-hoc reporting, periodic reporting, and specialized analysis to support product, operations, risk control, and finance teams. Key responsibilities include building core business indicator systems, developing BI dashboards and automated reports, participating in data warehouse modeling, monitoring data anomalies, and supporting business-specific analyses such as user behavior, transaction paths, funnel conversions, and channel effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct data analysis for transactions, assets, users, and advertising/growth, delivering insights and optimization suggestions.
- Perform SQL queries, data verification, and generate ad-hoc/periodic reports as per team requirements.
- Develop core business indicator systems covering metrics like transaction volume, active users, retention, conversion, and asset size.
- Build BI dashboards and automated reports to enhance data accessibility and decision-making efficiency.
- Collaborate on data warehouse modeling, ensuring unified metrics, data quality checks, and model reusability.
- Monitor and analyze data anomalies, establishing alert mechanisms for fluctuations and delays.
- Support business-specific analyses including user behavior, transaction paths, funnel conversions, and channel effectiveness.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure accurate data metrics, reporting, and analytical conclusions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management, or related fields preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, BI analysis, or data warehouse analysis, with preference for fintech, advertising, or risk control backgrounds.
- Proficiency in SQL for complex queries, window functions, and retention/funnel/segmentation analysis.
- Familiarity with data warehouse modeling, including dimension/fact tables, metrics, and data lineage.
- Experience with BI tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or QuickBI for dashboard development.
- Knowledge of Hive, ClickHouse, Spark SQL, or similar data query environments.
- Strong business acumen to design analytical approaches beyond basic data extraction.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills for reports and metric explanations.
- High data sensitivity and proactive problem-solving mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in trading, payments, risk control, or advertising growth analytics.
- Familiarity with trading metrics like order volume, liquidity, or API user behavior.
- Ability to design data models for user, order, asset, or transaction domains.
- Python skills for data cleaning, automation, or anomaly detection.
- Knowledge of A/B testing, user segmentation, or real-time data warehousing (Flink/Kafka).
