Job Description
The role is responsible for the overall technical architecture and delivery of Predict, covering on-chain contracts, off-chain order books, matching services, oracle integration, indexing systems, security audits, and launch quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Design the CLOB-first prediction market architecture, including on-chain contracts, off-chain order books, matching services, order signing, market data services, settlement services, indexers, and oracle integration.
- Define the boundary between on-chain and off-chain logic, determining which components should be on-chain versus backend services.
- Oversee smart contract security design, covering CTF, order settlement, positions, payouts, fees, permissions, pauses, upgrades, and audit processes.
- Develop solutions for EIP-712 signed orders, trade matching, on-chain settlement, order cancellation, nonce management, and replay protection.
- Coordinate technical integration for price oracles, event data sources, sports/esports data feeds, optimistic oracles, or dispute arbitration mechanisms.
- Establish project milestones and R&D timelines, including mechanism finalization, prototyping, testnet launch, audits, mainnet deployment, monitoring, and iterations.
- Organize code reviews, contract audits, security drills, incident postmortems, and external audit coordination.
- Lead technical hiring, task allocation, code quality control, production releases, and risk management.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of backend, blockchain, or trading system development experience, with at least 2 years in technical leadership or architecture roles.
- Proficiency in EVM, Solidity, smart contract security, on-chain events, transaction signing, and wallet interactions.
- Deep understanding of order books, matching engines, market data services, trade state machines, fund settlement, or exchange backend architectures.
- Knowledge of CTF, prediction markets, oracles, and off-chain matching + on-chain settlement design patterns.
- Strong security awareness to identify risks like reentrancy, price manipulation, signature replay, settlement errors, permission issues, and service outages.
- Ability to drive engineering execution in environments with immature chain ecosystems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CEX/DEX/Perpetuals/Options/Prediction Markets/Sports Trading Systems
- Familiarity with systems like Polymarket, 0x, Seaport, dYdX, Hyperliquid, Aster, or Limitless
- Background in high-frequency trading services, low-latency matching, risk control systems, or market maker interfaces
