Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Product Designer to lead the UX/UI design efforts for KAST's mobile app and internal web applications. In this role, you will be responsible for creating cohesive, intuitive, and delightful user experiences that align with our product vision and business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead the UX/UI design process for KAST's mobile app and internal web applications
- Create cohesive, delightful user experiences that meet user needs and business objectives
- Build and maintain a scalable design system to ensure consistent, high-quality app experiences across all platforms
- Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to iterate rapidly on design solutions
- Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering their professional growth and design skills
Job Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in product design with a strong portfolio showcasing mobile and web app designs
- Expertise in creating and maintaining scalable design systems
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Product and Engineering
- Experience mentoring and guiding junior designers
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in fast-paced startup environments
- Background in designing for both consumer and enterprise applications
- Knowledge of front-end development principles (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
