Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Architect to lead the design and development of our core product features. You will be responsible for taking features from conception through deployment and future iterations, ensuring high performance and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and design core product features from start to finish; from conception and research to implementation and iteration, all the way through deployment, maintenance, and future iterations
- Help architect and build performant backend systems for serving our core marketplace features
- Think holistically about how parts of our systems fit together from the UX to the underlying APIs and data models
- Mentor and train other team members on best practices and approaching large ambiguous problems
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and other Engineers to prioritize, scope, and architect new features
- Prioritize projects and tasks based on impact; balancing moving fast and building for the long haul
Required Skills
- Proven experience in architecting and designing complex software systems
- Strong background in backend system development and optimization
- Ability to think holistically about system architecture and user experience
- Experience mentoring and guiding other engineers
- Excellent collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
- Strong prioritization and project management abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with marketplace platforms or similar complex systems
- Knowledge of modern architectural patterns and best practices
- Background in performance optimization and scalability
- Experience working in agile development environments
