Job Description
As a Risk Control Specialist, you will be responsible for safeguarding the integrity of our exchange platform by monitoring and mitigating various financial risks across all business lines including spot trading, futures, and margin trading. Your role is critical in maintaining a secure and compliant trading environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Real-time Monitoring & Alerts: Conduct 24/7 surveillance of trading activities to detect and prevent market manipulation, wash trading, abnormal transfers, and other high-risk behaviors.
- Strategy Development: Design, backtest, and implement risk control models using data analytics tools to combat fraudulent activities like arbitrage attacks and multi-account collusion.
- Asset Protection: Monitor withdrawal risks, review large/suspicious withdrawal requests, and collaborate with technical and compliance teams to prevent hacker attacks and illicit fund flows.
- Market Risk Assessment: Analyze market depth and liquidity fluctuations, evaluate system liquidation risks during extreme volatility, and dynamically adjust margin requirements.
- Incident Investigation: Conduct root cause analysis of risk events, document attack patterns, and drive continuous improvement of risk control systems.
- Compliance Training: Participate in developing and delivering risk awareness programs for staff education.
Job Requirements
- Thorough understanding of exchange mechanics including candlestick patterns, order book depth, and order types
- Strong data analysis capabilities with proficiency in SQL/Python
- 2-3 years of risk control experience in financial services or crypto exchanges preferred
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- High risk sensitivity and ability to perform under pressure
- Familiarity with blockchain analytics tools (Chainalysis/Elliptic) is a plus
