Job Description
The Game Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of game operations, from strategic planning to execution. This role serves as the bridge between operations and development teams, ensuring smooth collaboration and high-quality version releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive game operation strategies including version scheduling, event systems, user lifecycle management, and long-term operation planning
- Act as the primary liaison between operations and R&D teams, leading requirement communication, documentation, version follow-up, testing, and issue resolution
- Manage game operation backend configurations including event setups, channel packaging, server merges/launches, maintenance announcements, and parameter adjustments
- Design data tracking plans, define event metrics, and establish indicator systems while coordinating with R&D for implementation and verification
- Conduct in-depth analysis of user behavior, channel quality, event effectiveness, retention and monetization using third-party analytics platforms
- Integrate and manage third-party SDKs for channels, advertising, and monetization, assisting with implementation, debugging, and issue resolution
- Establish standardized operation processes to enhance efficiency and version delivery quality
Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of game operation experience, preferably with mid-core/hardcore mobile/online games and version operation leadership
- Proficient in game development workflows with ability to create PRDs, requirement specs, tracking docs, and event logic configurations
- Expertise in analytics tools including attribution (Adjust, AppsFlyer), data platforms (GTM, Sensors Analytics), and operation backends
- Familiarity with common SDK integrations (payment, advertising, push notifications, analytics)
- Strong data analysis skills to identify issues and propose optimization strategies
- Excellent cross-department coordination and communication skills to drive implementation
- Leadership experience or participation in full game launch cycles preferred
