Job Description
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving growth and expanding market share in the Chinese-speaking and Asian target markets for contract trading business. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong relationship-building skills and a deep understanding of the cryptocurrency trading ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Expansion: Identify high-value partnership opportunities, establish and maintain client relationships, and achieve monthly trading volume targets in Chinese-speaking and Asian markets.
- Channel Development: Expand and maintain partnerships with channels, introducing brokers (IBs), institutions, and KOLs, with focus on key communities including trading communities, Telegram/Discord quant groups, and Chinese trader circles in Southeast/East Asia.
- Partnership Management: Serve as official representative to develop and maintain strategic alliances with trading KOLs, IBs, trading academies, and copy-trading teams.
- Affiliate System: Recruit and incubate regional master agents, build efficient IB network, and optimize affiliate/referral program operations.
- Marketing Campaigns: Plan and execute marketing activities (trading competitions, incentive programs, co-marketing) to enhance brand influence and user engagement in Asian markets.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with product and operations teams to collect market feedback and drive product optimization for contract trading.
Job Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in BD or sales at Web3 cryptocurrency exchanges.
- Performance: Demonstrated ability to achieve average monthly contract trading volume exceeding $50M.
- Network: Established network of local clients, trading communities, KOLs or partners in Chinese-speaking or Asian markets (including Southeast/East Asia).
Preferred Qualifications
- Hyperliquid Ecosystem: Familiarity with Hyperliquid ecosystem and products, especially on-chain perpetual contracts.
- DEX Background: Experience with decentralized exchange (DEX) contract BD and understanding of perpetual contracts/on-chain trading.
- Top Exchange Experience: Prior BD experience at Top 20 CEX or Top 5 Perp DEX platforms.
- TradFi Derivatives: Background in CFD/FX/precious metals/derivatives business development or sales.
Additional Advantages
- Deep knowledge of major trading platforms (Binance, OKX, Bybit, Bitget, Hyperliquid)
- Active trader with hands-on contract trading experience
- Experience building trader acquisition systems from scratch
- Familiarity with DeFi, RWA, and on-chain asset issuance/trading ecosystems
Compensation
Base salary + performance-based commission structure
