Job Description:
The Business Operations (Perp Futures Operations) role acts as the **"driver"** of the business. They monitor the dashboard (data), focusing on accelerating growth (speed), optimizing efficiency (ROI), and ensuring stability (business monitoring). Their core concern revolves around daily profitability, user retention, and strategizing campaigns to drive momentum. Reports to: Head of Perp Futures Role Positioning: You serve as the **"trader" and "data strategist"** for the futures business. While you are not responsible for system functionality deployment, you are accountable for the ultimate business outcomes (P&L, Volume, DAU). Your daily work involves microscopic data analysis to diagnose business health, formulate operational strategies, and enhance user lifetime value (LTV).
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Monitoring & P&L Analysis
- Daily Performance Review: Establish and maintain core data dashboards for futures operations. Rigorously analyze daily trading volume (Volume), open interest (OI), fee revenue (Revenue), funding rate costs, and key P&L components.
- Anomaly Detection: Actively monitor data like a hunter. Upon detecting irregularities (e.g., sudden spikes in trading volume for a specific coin, sharp drops in user retention, or declining deposit rates), conduct drill-down analysis to identify root causes—whether market-driven, risk control errors, or competitor impact—and produce a Daily Business Diagnosis Report.
- Health Metrics: Track "vital signs" such as market maker depth, the ratio of genuine users to arbitrageurs, and campaign ROI to ensure sustainable growth.
- User Lifecycle & Segmentation
- Funnel Optimization: Analyze the full user journey ("Registration → KYC → Deposit → Transfer → First Trade → Repeat Trade → Churn") with data tracking. Identify high-churn points (e.g., low first-trade conversion) and design targeted interventions (e.g., tailored coupons or callback strategies).
- Segmented Strategies:
- VIP/Whale Management: Identify high-net-worth traders, analyze their preferences (left/right positioning, cross/isolated margin), and collaborate with BD teams to customize fee structures and engagement tactics.
- Retail/Long-Tail Activation: Use data tagging to pinpoint "dormant users" or "at-risk users," then launch automated recall campaigns.
- Behavioral Profiling: Build a library of user trading behaviors. Analyze regional/channel-specific metrics like P&L ratios, leverage preferences, and holding periods to refine marketing personas.
- Campaign ROI & Strategy
- Campaign Actuary: Pre-launch modeling for trading competitions, airdrops, or rebate programs. Calculate break-even points, forecast capital burn, and project trading volume gains—vetting out "all buzz, no profit" initiatives.
- Post-Mortem Analysis: Post-campaign, deliver deep-dive reports isolating "wash trading/abuse" to derive true CAC and capital retention rates.
- Iterative Adjustments: Adapt future strategies based on insights (e.g., shifting from "deposit bonuses" to "trade-to-earn" models if abuse is detected).
- Market Intelligence
- Competitor Benchmarking: Daily track operational parameters of rivals (Binance, Bybit, OKX)—new listings, yield products, promotions, fee changes.
- Countermeasures: Propose data-backed defensive tactics (e.g., limited-time fee waivers or targeted subsidies) during competitor price wars.
Job Requirements:
- Background: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, Finance, Math, or related fields preferred. 3+ years in internet data operations, business analysis (BA), or CEX operations.
- Hard Skills:
- Data Proficiency (Mandatory): Advanced SQL for independent data extraction; mastery of Excel (VBA/Pivot Tables) and BI tools (Tableau/QuickBI/Superset). This is survival-level—no reliance on pre-processed data.
- Business Acumen: Hyper-sensitivity to metrics; ability to detect crises from subtle shifts (e.g., "5% volume drop").
- Soft Skills:
- Profit-Driven: Ruthless focus on P&L, distinguishing "vanity metrics" from real growth.
- Structured Thinking: Compelling data storytelling to influence executive strategy.
Benefits:
Remote work flexibility.
