Job Description
The Settlement Officer will be responsible for monitoring and verifying daily settlement transactions across internal systems, payment platforms, and banking channels. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial operations and maintaining the integrity of our financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and reconcile daily settlement transactions across internal systems, payment platforms, and banking channels
- Track and verify transaction processes, customer payments, and internal transfers
- Ensure accurate settlement of customer transactions and platform activities
- Investigate and resolve transaction discrepancies or settlement issues
- Perform daily reconciliation between system records, payment platform balances, and bank accounts
- Verify transaction data between internal systems and financial records
- Maintain proper documentation of transaction settlements and adjustments
- Ensure all accounting activities comply with company policies and financial regulations
- Assist in preparing for internal and external audits
- Support the implementation and maintenance of financial controls and operational procedures
Job Requirements
- Malaysian Chinese candidates will be given priority
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (ACCA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification preferred)
- Experience in settlement operations, transaction accounting or payment reconciliation
- Background in fintech, payment services, e-commerce platforms or high-volume transaction environments preferred
- Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets, particularly skilled in reconciliation and financial analysis
- Experience with virtual assets/cryptocurrency transactions is a plus
