Spirals funds climate impact efforts through the earnings of tokens such as ETH and USDC. When users and the protocol deposit their tokens into its token vault, they receive an equal amount of green tokens (gTokens). These gTokens represent the earnings from the original deposit assets that have passively financed climate projects, as well as the share of on-chain climate impact certified by Spirals.
