Job Description
As a Software Engineer at Den, you’ll develop full stack web applications that help crypto-native organizations, like DAOs, build and execute transactions fast. You will work closely with the co-founders of Den (both technical), build the foundation of an engineering team from both a technical and cultural standpoint, and lead technically as the organization scales. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment and is passionate about solving complex problems in the blockchain space. You will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable solutions that meet the unique needs of decentralized organizations, while also contributing to the overall product vision and roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain full-stack web applications using modern technologies to support crypto-native organizations in executing transactions efficiently.
- Collaborate with the co-founders and core team members to define technical requirements and drive product development.
- Architect and implement robust, secure, and scalable systems that align with the long-term goals of Den and its clients.
- Lead the onboarding and integration of new team members, ensuring alignment with Den's technical standards and cultural values.
- Optimize application performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement improvements to enhance user experience.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in blockchain development, and evaluate their potential impact on Den's products and services.
- Participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
- Ensure compliance with security protocols and best practices to protect sensitive data and maintain system integrity.
- Work with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and DevOps engineers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Document code, system architecture, and technical processes to facilitate team collaboration and future development.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a Software Engineer with a strong background in full-stack development, particularly in building applications for decentralized systems.
- Deep understanding of blockchain technologies, smart contracts, and decentralized application (dApp) ecosystems.
- Fluent in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, and/or Go, with experience in front-end frameworks like React or Vue.js.
- Experience with backend technologies including Node.js, Django, or Ruby on Rails, and databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP), and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work remotely or in a hybrid setup, with flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of the organization.
- Passion for cryptocurrency, decentralized technologies, and the future of web3 innovation.
- Preferred: Experience with decentralized identity protocols, IPFS, or other blockchain-related tools and platforms.
