Job Description
As a Senior/Staff Smart Contract Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing the core protocol of Base Chain Prop AMM, including active pricing curves, market-making logic, Vault liquidity management, and settlement mechanisms. You will lead the end-to-end design, prototyping, and performance optimization of DEX Aggregator, covering liquidity discovery, routing calculations, transaction construction, execution latency, and price optimization.
You will integrate liquidity sources and aggregation protocols from EVM or Solana ecosystems such as Jupiter, Relay, KyberSwap, and Uniswap. Additionally, you will integrate Chainlink or other high-frequency oracles to build real-time price update mechanisms and support on-chain parameter adjustments driven by off-chain market-making models.
You will participate in the research and design of DeFi mechanisms such as lending, liquidation, collateral management, and oracle pricing. Optimization of transaction execution priority, routing efficiency, Gas consumption, and the design of protection mechanisms against MEV, Toxic Flow, sandwich attacks, flash loan attacks, and oracle manipulation will also be part of your responsibilities.
You will study the architecture and best practices of Solana Prop AMM, including Oracle-driven Quoting, high-performance execution, and active liquidity management, and adapt these designs to the Base and EVM Sequencer environments. Development of protocols and supporting services using technologies like Solidity, Rust, Anchor, TypeScript, ethers.js, viem, and web3.js will be required.
You will oversee smart contract testing, security reviews, stress testing, Invariant Testing, and Gas optimization to ensure the protocol can safely handle high TVL and high-concurrency transactions. Collaboration with market makers, researchers, front-end engineers, infrastructure engineers, product managers, and external audit teams is essential.
You will contribute to protocol architecture, engineering standards, security specifications, and system scalability while providing technical leadership.

Job Requirements
We are seeking a Senior/Staff Smart Contract Engineer with extensive software engineering experience. Staff-level candidates typically require 8–10 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in blockchain or smart contract development.
Strong Solidity development skills are essential, along with familiarity with Foundry, Hardhat, EVM storage layout, Gas optimization, proxy patterns, upgradeable contracts, and smart contract security. Deep understanding of DEX Aggregators and smart routing systems, including protocols like Jupiter, Relay, KyberSwap, and 1inch, is required.
Candidates should have experience driving DEX Aggregators from prototype to production, including routing design, liquidity integration, latency optimization, and transaction execution. Expertise in AMM mechanisms such as Uniswap V2/V3, Concentrated Liquidity, active liquidity management, Prop AMM, Order Book, and market-making systems is necessary.
Experience developing smart contracts, DeFi protocols, or on-chain infrastructure handling significant TVL or high transaction volumes is preferred. Familiarity with DeFi core mechanisms like lending, liquidation, collateral systems, oracles, flash loans, and MEV protection is also required.
Proficiency in EVM and/or Solana development stacks, including Solidity, Rust, Anchor, TypeScript, ethers.js, viem, or web3.js, is essential. Experience designing and scaling high-throughput, low-latency, or distributed systems is a plus.
Knowledge of modern system architecture best practices in security, performance, reliability, and availability is important. Strong English reading and communication skills are required for effective collaboration with engineering, research, product, and management teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience with DEX Aggregator, Prop AMM, RFQ, Order Book, Solver, or professional market-making infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Solana Prop AMM and Oracle-driven Liquidity architectures like HumidiFi or Tessera.
- Understanding of Base Sequencer, transaction ordering, Private Order Flow, and EVM execution environments.
- Knowledge of Ethereum Client internals (e.g., Geth, Reth).
- Expertise in database fundamentals, distributed databases, parallel execution, protocol scaling, or high-performance data systems.
- Background in Scaling, Parallelization, Consensus Protocols, Distributed Systems, or Cryptography.
- Experience managing technical teams or leading architecture design for production-level systems.
