Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Blockchain Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our blockchain-based trading systems through comprehensive testing methodologies.
- Conduct testing for on-chain trading systems, including functionality testing for trading, quoting, routing, transaction status, ledger data, user wallets, and asset data.
- Perform testing for decentralized wallets and hardware wallets.
- Focus on the complete transaction lifecycle, including transaction initiation, routing, submission, on-chain confirmation, status updates, and ledger/wallet balance changes.
- Test various transaction exception scenarios such as failed transactions, pending status, insufficient balance, insufficient Gas, Nonce exceptions, RPC exceptions, and duplicate submissions.
- Utilize packet capture tools, logs, databases, and Linux systems for troubleshooting and issue identification, assisting developers in analyzing transaction failures and production anomalies.
- Develop test scripts to automate core trading processes and data validation, improving testing efficiency and coverage.
- Participate in production releases and regression testing, tracking and facilitating issue resolution to ensure system stability.
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of software testing experience, with preference given to candidates with blockchain, wallet, DEX, Swap, trading systems, or financial trading systems experience.
- Practical experience with on-chain transactions and understanding of fundamental concepts like Transaction, Gas, Nonce, Pending status, Transaction Hash, and block confirmation.
- Familiarity with common on-chain transaction scenarios and ability to interpret transaction statuses (success, failure, pending) through Transaction Hash analysis.
- Proficiency in API testing using tools like Postman, Apifox, Charles, or Fiddler for issue analysis and troubleshooting.
- Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL, including writing SQL queries to validate transaction data, ledger data, and user assets.
- Basic Linux operations knowledge for log review, process querying, service troubleshooting, and production issue analysis.
- Programming skills in at least one language: Python, Java, Go, or JavaScript for test script development.
- Preferred experience with automated API testing, regression testing, and tools like pytest, JMeter, or Postman Collection.
- Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and transaction anomalies with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities to drive issue resolution and verification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with EVM, Ethereum, BSC, Base, Arbitrum, Solana, or other public blockchains.
- Testing experience with wallets, DEX, Swap, cross-chain solutions, or trading bots.
- Knowledge of automated test framework development or continuous integration testing.
- Familiarity with Docker, Redis, Kafka, or similar technologies.
- Experience with high-concurrency trading or stability testing.
