Job Description
At Conduit, we are seeking a passionate and skilled designer to contribute to the strategic design and product direction of our innovative platform. This role will involve the full lifecycle of product development, from conceptualizing new ideas to delivering high-fidelity prototypes and polished visual designs. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, and design peers to shape both long-term vision and immediate execution plans. Through in-depth user research, you will uncover insights to drive product improvements and ensure our solutions meet user needs effectively. You will also play a key role in refining and expanding our design system to maintain consistency across all products, while fostering a strong design culture that supports team growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of new products, translating business goals into user-centric solutions
- Create and iterate on high-fidelity prototypes, ensuring technical feasibility and user experience excellence
- Collaborate with engineering teams to bridge design concepts with implementation, resolving technical challenges
- Conduct comprehensive user research through interviews, surveys, and usability testing to inform design decisions
- Develop and maintain a cohesive design system that scales with our product growth and team expansion
- Participate in design reviews and strategy sessions to align with company objectives and market trends
- Document design processes and deliverables to ensure knowledge sharing and team onboarding effectiveness
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously innovate and improve our design approach
- Provide mentorship to junior designers, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment
- Present design concepts to stakeholders, advocating for user needs and business value through compelling visual storytelling
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of projects from concept to delivery
- Expertise in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD, along with proficiency in prototyping and visual design techniques
- Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and accessibility standards
- Strong collaboration skills with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless cross-functional execution
- Ability to conduct user research independently, including data analysis and actionable insights generation
- Experience in creating and maintaining scalable design systems with reusable components and style guides
- Excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions and present ideas effectively to diverse audiences
- Strong problem-solving abilities to address complex design challenges and find innovative solutions
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies and iterative design processes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
- Preferred: Experience with UX research frameworks, interaction design, and visual design for web and mobile platforms
- Preferred: Familiarity with design management practices and team leadership experience
- Preferred: Understanding of business strategy and how design impacts product success
