Job Description
The Market Maker Core System Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the core components of our market-making platform. This role requires deep expertise in high-performance trading systems and market-making strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain market maker core systems including order book management, pricing engine, inventory management, auto-replenishment, and order modification logic
- Implement automated market-making strategies including two-sided quoting, spread control, risk limits, and hedging mechanisms
- Develop high-performance, low-latency order interaction logic with multiple major exchanges
- Integrate with exchange REST/WebSocket private and public APIs to support parallel trading across multiple pairs
- Build real-time market data and depth generation modules (K-lines, tick data, depth pushes, etc.)
- Optimize system latency, throughput and stability to ensure reliable operation under high concurrency
- Establish and maintain monitoring, alerting and logging systems for observability
- Participate in system architecture design, disaster recovery planning, and rapid troubleshooting
- Collaborate with strategy teams to continuously improve market-making performance and risk control capabilities
Job Requirements
- Expertise in Golang or Java with experience in high-concurrency, high-performance systems
- Required experience in cryptocurrency or traditional financial exchange development
- Mandatory market-making system development experience including quoting, inventory, hedging, auto-replenishment modules
- Deep understanding of spot and derivatives order book structures, matching logic, and order types
- Familiarity with centralized exchange APIs (REST/WebSocket) including private interfaces
- Knowledge of asynchronous architectures, message queues, coroutine scheduling, and memory optimization
- Ability to independently design trading system modules and maintain production systems
- Significant bonus for commercially viable or demonstrable market-making systems
- Experience leading development of stable market-making systems covering multiple pairs for 6+ months
- Background in quantitative trading or market-making strategy development (spread strategies, inventory algorithms)
- Experience with hedging systems, risk engines, circuit breakers, and kill-switch mechanisms
- Prior work with Web3 exchanges, market makers, or quantitative firms
- Familiarity with low-latency networking, lock-free data structures, and cache optimization techniques
