Key Responsibilities

• Investigate and report on unexpected/breaking news events with accuracy and speed
• Cover routine daily news assignments across various beats
• Develop and maintain reliable sources for news gathering
• Work under tight deadlines to deliver timely news content
• Collaborate with editors and other reporters to ensure comprehensive coverage
• Adapt reporting style for different media platforms (print, digital, broadcast)

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications or related field
• Minimum 2 years experience in news reporting (internships included)
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong research and fact-checking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Flexibility to work irregular hours when news events require
• Knowledge of media law and ethical journalism practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Multimedia reporting skills (photo/video/audio)
• Experience with content management systems
• Specialized knowledge in specific news beats (politics, business, etc.)
• Social media proficiency for news distribution
