Job Description
The Financial Business Partner (Finance BP) role is a remote position based in Hong Kong. This position plays a critical role in bridging finance and business operations, providing strategic financial insights to drive profitability and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Business & Product Economic Analysis: Develop product P&L, Unit Economics, and financial models to evaluate business profitability. Conduct financial and economic assessments for new products, business initiatives, campaigns, and major policy changes. Perform sensitivity analysis and stress testing to identify potential losses and exposure.
- Operational Monitoring & Financial Control: Establish monitoring mechanisms for key business operations and P&L tracking, covering revenue, costs, profits, and KPIs. Conduct cross-analysis of financial, operational, transactional, and user data to detect anomalies, arbitrage, and potential financial losses. Quantify major irregularities and drive corrective actions.
- Business Decision Support: Participate in key product and business proposal reviews, providing independent challenges from a company-wide financial perspective. Deliver ROI, margin, cost-benefit, and investment analysis. Review business targets vs. actual results to drive optimization.
- Cross-Team Collaboration & System Development: Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Data teams to integrate business and financial data. Develop and refine Product P&L, Business Finance, and Financial Control frameworks. Conduct post-mortems on major financial losses and operational anomalies to enhance loss prevention.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Finance BP, Business Finance, FP&A, Management Accounting, Financial Control, commercial analysis, or related fields.
- Strong financial, business, and data analysis skills, with the ability to independently build P&L, Unit Economics, and financial models.
- High business acumen to understand product mechanics, user behavior, and financial implications.
- Proactive problem-solving through multi-dimensional data analysis, translating business rules into quantifiable financial impacts/loss exposure.
- Strong ownership, independent judgment, and cross-functional collaboration skills to challenge business proposals.
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, BI, or other data analysis tools is a plus.
- Preferred: Experience in Crypto/CEX/DEX/FinTech/Payment/Trading Platforms.
- Bonus: Experience in building Business Finance/Financial Control/Product P&L frameworks from scratch.
