Job Description
Seeking a skilled Blockchain Engineer to specialize in the development and maintenance of self-custodial wallet systems and decentralized finance (DeFi) related decentralized applications (DApps). This role involves creating secure, scalable, and user-friendly smart contracts that enable seamless interaction between blockchain protocols and financial services. The ideal candidate will work closely with ecosystem partners to integrate wallet solutions with other DApps through industry-standard protocols like WalletConnect. They will also design and implement robust security frameworks that are compatible across multiple blockchain networks, including both EVM-based chains and non-EVM chains such as Bitcoin, Cosmos, and others. Collaboration with financial engineers is essential to ensure the technical integrity and compliance of DeFi applications with regulatory requirements and market standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize smart contracts for self-custodial wallets and DeFi DApps, ensuring security, efficiency, and adherence to blockchain best practices.
- Implement cross-chain interoperability solutions using WalletConnect and other protocols to enable seamless communication between wallet systems and decentralized applications.
- Design and maintain security models that are consistent across diverse blockchain ecosystems, including EVM-compatible chains and non-EVM chains like Bitcoin and Cosmos.
- Collaborate with financial engineers to build and test DeFi applications, ensuring they meet functional, technical, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct thorough audits of smart contract code to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities, ensuring the safety of user assets and data.
- Stay updated on emerging blockchain technologies and industry trends to continuously improve wallet and DeFi solutions.
- Document technical processes, protocols, and security measures for internal teams and external partners to ensure transparency and maintainability.
- Participate in the development of user interfaces for wallet applications, ensuring intuitive design and seamless integration with backend systems.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals, technical specifications, and security standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance to stakeholders, including developers, investors, and end-users, to ensure successful implementation and adoption of blockchain solutions.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in blockchain development, with a focus on smart contract creation and deployment on EVM and non-EVM chains.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Solidity, Rust, or JavaScript, with expertise in blockchain-specific frameworks and tools.
- Deep understanding of cryptographic principles and security best practices to design secure wallet systems and DeFi applications.
- Experience with cross-chain protocols and technologies, including but not limited to WalletConnect, Chainlink, and Cosmos SDK, to enable interoperability between blockchain networks.
- Collaboration skills to work effectively with financial engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders in the development of DeFi solutions.
- Knowledge of DeFi protocols, token economics, and financial systems to ensure technical alignment with business objectives.
- Ability to analyze complex blockchain architectures and design scalable solutions that meet performance and security requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical challenges and optimize blockchain applications for usability and efficiency.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences and document processes for internal and external use.
- Experience with blockchain development tools, testing frameworks, and deployment platforms to ensure smooth integration and maintenance of solutions.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements for financial services to ensure DeFi applications meet legal standards.
