Job Description
This role is for a Korean-speaking Ventures Analyst to support the company's investment strategy within the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry. The analyst will be responsible for conducting comprehensive research, evaluating potential investment opportunities, and providing actionable insights to drive informed decision-making. The position requires a deep understanding of financial markets, venture capital processes, and the unique dynamics of the crypto ecosystem. The candidate will work closely with the investment team to identify promising ventures, assess their viability, and contribute to the development of investment theses that align with the company's goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed due diligence and conduct financial analysis on new and existing investments, including evaluating financial statements, market trends, and risk factors.
- Prepare and present investment theses for new and follow-on investments, leveraging fundamental analysis, market research, and competitive intelligence to articulate value propositions.
- Identify, source, evaluate, and document new investment opportunities within the crypto ecosystem, with a focus on emerging projects, technologies, and market trends.
- Contribute strong baseline knowledge in the crypto asset and NFT space, including market dynamics, regulatory environments, and technological innovations, to support team analysis and decision-making.
- Monitor current investments and track key performance metrics, such as revenue growth, user engagement, and market share, to provide ongoing assessments and recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine investment strategies, conduct scenario planning, and develop risk mitigation frameworks for portfolio companies.
- Stay updated on industry developments, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in the crypto space to ensure analysis remains relevant and forward-looking.
- Prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders, including executives and investors, to communicate findings and support strategic discussions.
Job Requirements
- Native or fluent Korean language proficiency, with strong written and verbal communication skills in English for reporting and collaboration.
- Master's degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, with a focus on venture capital or investment analysis.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in investment analysis, venture capital, or a similar role within the financial services industry, preferably with exposure to cryptocurrency and blockchain projects.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and market research tools, including Excel, Bloomberg, and industry-specific databases.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data, assess market potential, and identify investment risks and opportunities.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Knowledge of blockchain technology, smart contracts, and decentralized finance (DeFi) concepts to evaluate crypto projects effectively.
- Experience with NFT marketplaces, token economics, and digital asset valuation methodologies to support analysis in the NFT space.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting, data analysis, and documentation to ensure reliability of findings.
