0xVM is an EVM-compatible execution layer for Bitcoin, which provides the network with Turing-complete smart contract functionality, thereby unlocking a wider range of dApps within the Bitcoin ecosystem. 0xVM itself is not a blockchain, but rather a decentralized index network similar to a virtual machine (VM). By utilizing off-chain computing and on-chain verification, it reduces costs while enhancing the programmability of the Bitcoin network.
